About me
When I was a university student, I went to see the on campus therapist and I was touched and amazed at how transformative her empathy, validation and support was to me. I was so inspired that the most natural thing to do next was to know and learn as much as I could about therapy—thus embarking on my journey in this field.

Background
I have a passion for working with people (adults and teens) and deeply enjoy working with diverse nationalities, cultures and backgrounds. I grew up in Japan to a Japanese mother and Dutch father and I have lived and studied therapy in different countries. My diverse background has been a gift in finding the humanness that underlies all our differences. 10 years ago we moved to Edmonton, and I have spent the last 9 years working in multi cultural organizations, where I specialized in family crisis interventions, individual therapy to adults and teens and couples counselling.

Healing Modalities
I hold a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy and Spirituality and I am trained and certified in the following modalities: Focusing Oriented Therapy, Trauma work, Somatic work, Emotional regulation, Couples counselling, Inner Child work, The Journey, Grief counselling, Womanness and Women's issues, Mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT) and more.
